1. How did you come up with an idea of a site for Christian drummers, when and how did it all happened? Last but not least WHY?
When we moved to Northern Ireland in 2004, I was looking for other Christians who were drummers but could not find any. So, I thought about starting a site to encourage Christian drummers. I started learning drums by myself and I learnt about playing church by watching the guys who went before me and they would show me how to play or give me spiritual guidance in playing too. There was no web site or reference material or workshops being run for drummers who were involved in church worship teams and so I started putting together a workshop for drummers who played in worship teams. The web site came out from that background. It started in October 2006 and has been going ever since. It began as a small personal blog but became bigger as I realized there was more potential and more people started to respond to the articles I was writing.

2. What is your relation with Psalm Drummers - or what is the connection between you and Terl Bryant?
I manage the Psalm Drummer web site, I also designed it (there is a brand new site coming out soon). I found out about Psalm Drummers shortly before moving from South Africa to Northern Ireland in 2004. I got in touch with a friend of Terl Bryant, called Chip Bailey and then actually met Terl a few months later when he came over for an event here in Belfast. It was from that point that my relationship with Terl began and got stronger. I now look after the site and am involved as a core team member of Psalm Drummers.

3. What is your history in drumming?
I started drumming in about 1993 when I got my first drum set after saving up for it. My drumming experience mainly took place in church where I was quite involved in the worship teams of our church. I got to play on two gospel albums - drums on one, percussion on the other. I also played in a band in South Africa called 'Sold Out' and really enjoyed that. I play in a lot of drum circles now with relating Psalm Drummers here in Northern Ireland. I am a self-taught drummer.

4. How are you at this point involved in church or in any other events, related to your drumming?
At the moment, I am not drumming in church (although I wish I was!) due to unforeseen circumstances but I am quite involved in a group that gets together to do drum circles. We perform and facilitate at various events such as Summer Madness (Christian youth event in Northern Ireland) and other church events.

5. Any message for the Romanian Christian drummers?
Yes! To know we are not only united by the fact that we are drummers, creators of rhythms and beats, but also brothers and sisters under God - that is a wonderful thing. I am so encouraged to hear of other Christian drummers in other countries where, even though the language spoken is different, the heart is the same. Take courage from the fact that there are drummers all over the world who love God and play their drums for Him as you do. You are part of the bigger picture of drummers in this world! Awesome! I cannot wait to visit you!
